I’ve been working with Rachael at by ren for the past month learning the ins and outs of a small-time jewelry business. I’m doing much more than just photography, including writing her newsletters, running her social media, and organizing the studio.

I loved being able to shoot some new content for her. I’ve been able to learn a lot about what a small business like this would need in terms of content and storytelling.

For this particular shoot, we bopped around her studio and figured out what we wanted to shoot and why. We did a mix of posed portraits and candid working shots. Both of these types of shots are important to showcase on your website and social media. Bonus points if you have a newsletter!
